Kent (Templar Knight) & Corga Krat (Standard Bearer)
Kent (Templar Knight)
Kent is one of the most feared members of the Templar Knights. As he has fought on nearly every plane of existence, Kent is no stranger to war. He fights with an intensity that is rarely matched. His exploits on the battlefield are legendary, and his humility off of it is renowned. Kent holds fast to the original tenets of the Templars - protect the innocent, live a monastic life, and be an inspiration for those who fight beside him.
Physical Description
Standing well over 7 feet tall, Kent is physically imposing. He has permanently infused a suit of plate mail that bears the templar order's crest. His face is scarred and battle-worn, creating an ominous and foreboding look. His crystal eyes, however, are clear and gleam brightly, and an air of calm and peace surrounds him.
Backstory
At the end of the Last Great War, Kent was at a crossroads. With the armies he once served in now dispersed, Kent struggled to find a purpose. Kent refused to become a mercenary like many other warforged, as he could not justify killing over gold or petty land squabbles. Kent wandered for a decade, searching for a purpose without any success.
As fate would have it, Kent came upon a caravan of pilgrims being savagely attacked by a large group of bandits. There were only two of the caravan's escorts still on their feet, and Kent could see the bodies of a half dozen of their comrades dead or dying on the ground. The knights, vastly outnumbered, fought bravely to protect their wards, but Kent could see they had little hope of success.
Kent felt something stir inside him as he watched the knights fight, knowing they would die but willing to do so until their last breath. Charging into the fray, Kent could feel a power he had never experienced before overwhelming him as he fought, giving him a strength he never knew he had. Within minutes, Kent and the remaining knights emerged victorious.
The weary knights looked into Kent's eyes and saw that the same divine spirit they felt had embraced him. The knights explained who they and the Templars were and asked him to join them. Feeling he had finally found his purpose, Kent agreed, becoming one of the templar order's most valiant and feared members.

Corga Krat (Standard Bearer)
Corga is the standard-bearer for the Templars. His is an important role, as the flag serves as a beacon on the battlefield and acts as the indicator of the position of the Templar's commander. This role is one of the most honored positions within the Templars. The standard bearer puts himself at considerable risk. By displaying the flag of the Templars, Corga is a significant target for their enemies seeking to capture the standard or pull it down.
Physical Description
While not physically imposing, Corga is slightly taller and more muscular than the average kobold. However, Corga is only a teenager, and his youthful facial features betray his age.
Backstory
Corga wants nothing more than to be a knight of the Templar order. He has dreamed about it since he was a small child, watching the knights defend the town where he and his family lived. After pleading with his father, they humbly requested that Corga be allowed to join the order. Since he was so young, Korga was brought into the fold as a squire for one of the knight's greatest heroes, Kent.
Kent saw potential in young Corga. Kent trained the young kobold how to fight and helped him learn the Templar vows and the importance behind their meaning. Corga hung on every word, soaking in whatever knowledge Kent would pass down to him.
While still too young to take his vows and become a knight, Kent made Corga his legion's standard-bearer. It is a critical role, as the knights are usually ordered to follow and stay close to the standard or flag to maintain unit cohesion. In doing so, Kent could easily command and position his troops.
As long as the flag is held high, the knights know where Kent is and can listen to his orders. It is a dangerous job as opposing armies will always try to kill or capture Corga to disrupt the Templar's chain of command.
