Sir Godfrey Goodbee - Gnome Knight
Ever since Godfrey was a young gnome, he knew that he was destined for great things - his family just never thought the same. While his parents encouraged his constant daydreams and cloud castles, they never really thought that Godfrey would ever, truly, become a knight in his own right.
Physical Description
In gleaming armor, the gnome stands at 3-and-a-half feet tall with a small-sized lance and longsword strapped to his waist. He moves about with surprising speed, despite the heavy armor, and takes in everything with excitement.
Backstory
Godfrey was born with the name Gerbo Mallic Fleecespun Badgercloak by his parents, but as he grew older, he realized that such a name was ridiculous for a knight. Instead, he named himself Godfrey Gerbomallicfleecespunbadgercloak Goodbee. He leaves out his middle name so as to not confuse others.
Knighthood. Sir Godfrey Goodbee became a knight quickly after leaving his home and exploring the wide world. In truth, his path to knighthood was rather by accident, though to hear him say it, it was divinely ordained. While traveling within the first few months, taking on small jobs here and there that involved killing goblins or slaying monsters, Goodbee saw a group of bandits attacking a carriage ahead of him on the road.
Without a thought of safety for himself, he urged his noble steed, a rather small pony, to the attack and drove the brigands off. After the brigands were gone, Godfrey introduced himself to the carriage only to find that it was the personal carriage of the queen of Kasonia. Most of her guards were killed in the ambush, and so Godfrey promised his lance to her safety, ensuring her arrival back home. As a reward, he was asked what she could offer, and his first response was to be a knight.
Noble Steed. Sir Godfrey's noble steed, literally named Noble Steed, is a small pony that he bought from a local farmer before he began his journey. His pony has stayed with him for years, and strangely enough, stopped growing once Godfrey got ahold of the pony. While many think the pony must be some sort of runt, in Godfrey's eyes, it is obvious divine intervention to give him such a wonderful mount.
Noble Steed uses the statistics of a pony, with these changes:
The pony has 33 (6d8 + 6) hit points.
The pony wears plate barding, granting it an 18 AC.
The pony's Strength is 17 (+3), and its Hooves attack is: Hooves. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Hendrick Vallensten - Spice Merchant
As a powerful and wealthy merchant, Hendrick traffics fine minerals and spices, and he controls a large percentage of the cinnamon trade in the world. He oversees the transport and sale of all items in his care with unmatched attention to detail which is valued by his clients and the envy of his rivals.
Physical Description
Standing a hair under 6 feet tall, Hendrick has dark black hair and piercing blue eyes. He walks with a noticeable limp and uses his trademark black ash walking stick for assistance.
Backstory
Hendrick grew up in a firmly middle-class household. His younger years were utterly unremarkable. He enjoyed school but was an average student at best; and played various sports but was never good enough to make a top team. What Hendrick possessed was keen common sense, allowing him to understand people and how they acted in the world through unfiltered lenses. It was easy for him to develop relationships with people. However, he has very few actual friends.
He used these skills and a little money his family saved to start his transport service when he was sixteen. He started small, purchasing a few older horses and wagons, delivering small packages up and down the coast. One of these horses kicked Hendrick as he was trying to hitch it to the wagon, shattering his hip, giving him the limp he walks with even today. Undeterred by this setback, Hendrick bought a pair of camels the next time and has only used these beasts since then.
Hendrick innately knew which people were open to a bride, who was honorable and not to be cheated, and those that wished to see his business crushed. He struck an accord with the larger merchant houses that controlled the major trade routes, which allowed his passage on these routes at a fraction of the cost. In return, Hendrick would take on jobs too small for the houses but that they wanted to be done for their more prominent clients. Soon he was working directly with one of these clients, the largest cinnamon producer on the continent. He became a partner and majority owner in a few short years, firmly entrenching him as a scion in the trading world.
