Mar 12 Orsina (Shadar-kai Warrior)

Orsina, The Unforgiving Queen, is the highest CR creature I have created to date. While she was fun to develop and work through, I have to admit, taking this on was a challenge.

Orsina, The Unforgiving Queen

Orsina, The Queen of Vengeance, has left a swath of destruction across the land since her exile from the Plane of Shadows. She fights with a fury that is rarely matched, her rage, anger, and hatred in every swing of her blade. Orisna's army of warriors will lay down their lives for her; their loyalty to their Queen is beyond reproach.

Orsina’s Description

Standing a little over 6 feet tall, Orsina's skin is a flawless porcelain white in color. Her hair is as black as night and her fire red eyes provide a gaze that instills fear in even the bravest of warriors. Unlike most Shadar-kai, shadows not longer twist and turn around her since her banishment from the Land of Shadows.

Backstory

Orsina, once a loyal servant of the Shadow Queen, was cast out of the Plane of Shadows. Even though the Shadar-kai are known for their intensity in battle, Orsina crossed a line even the Shadow Queen was applied by. The Shadow Queen banished her from the Shadow Plane and her grace. This act of betrayal, a stark departure from the typical protection the Shadar-kai receive in the afterlife, ignited a raw fire of anger, confusion, and hatred within Orsina, directed toward her former Queen.

Severed from her connection to the Plane of Shadows, Orsina's anger grew with each passing day. She roamed the material plane as a sword for hire, her exploits on the battlefield becoming the stuff of legends and leaving a trail of blood and carnage in her wake. Soon, she amassed a formidable army of followers fighting under her banner. With her newfound power, she transitioned from a mere mercenary to a queen, leading her followers in a quest for a land they could call their own.

Orsina, now a queen, laid waste to armies across the continent, mercilessly slaughtering anyone who dared to oppose her. She united the lands she conquered into a formidable kingdom, providing her followers the home they had long sought. As she sits on her throne, waging war against her enemies, her thoughts are consumed by the injustice inflicted upon her by the Shadow Queen. Her rage, far from subsiding, intensifies as she meticulously plots her revenge. Orsina knows that the day is near when she and her legions will return to the Plane of Shadows, annihilating anyone who dares to stand in their way.

Adventure Hooks

A city is under siege by Orsina and her army. The ruling class is looking for warriors to lead their soldiers.
The Shadow Queen knows Orsina is coming and does not want the Plane of Shadow to be laid to waste in the upcoming conflict. The Shadow Queen knows where Orsina will cross over. Should the party meet her there and prevent her from entering the Plane of Shadows, the Shadow will be quite pleased.
